My root filesystem is encrypted with an offset, so I'm using a patch for Dracut that only adds one udev rule. My laptop is Asus Vivobook 14X if that's of any importance. It started behaving like that from the first time it was installed. I tried reemerging the package, but nothing changed. I also have the emerge build log, but it's 60M and wgetpaste won't let me use it. # CONFIG_X86_PLATFORM_DRIVERS_HP is not set Here's the config diff - not much changed: vbook /boot # diff config-6.1.27-gentoo-dist config-6.1.31-gentoo-dist So I've been using that kernel for a while but I need to find out what's wrong with the new one. I have the previous kernel - 6.1.27-gentoo-dist and it boots without any issues. It stops when it's trying to create a udev rule for a symlink to /dev/root I think? Before OpenRC fires up, I can see that the kernel panicked and printed out some errors (can't scroll, so not sure what's that about), but the booting continues - Dracut finds the root filesystem and starts its thing. I can't post any logs because it stops booting before the default runlevel. I'm having an issue with 6.1.31-gentoo-dist kernel.
